Equal opportunity in admission, mentorship, and participation.

Our statement
The IMHOTEP Vision Scholars Program does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ancestry, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital or family status, military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law, in admission, mentorship assignment, evaluation, or any other aspect of program participation.
The program was created to widen a pipeline that has excluded students of African descent from ophthalmology. That mission is pursued through outreach, partnership, and support, never through unlawful exclusion of any applicant.
Accessibility. Reasonable accommodations are available for scholars and mentors with disabilities. Contact the program coordinator at coordinator@imhotepvision.org to request an accommodation; requests are handled confidentially.
Harassment. Harassment or retaliation of any kind ends participation. Concerns may be reported to the program office at scholars@imhotepvision.org, and will be reviewed promptly and confidentially.
